I lived by this quote without even realizing it, with my globetrotting ways, seeking one experience after another.

Writing for me is a multisensory practice, way before I begin typing. From the ideation phase and the experience to pinpointing the core of the story that readers will want to hear.

You are a travel editor most likely tired of reading content that’s all too similar and working with writers you can’t connect with. You’re looking for original writing that tells raw stories and gives readers itchy feet to go out and experience life because you know that life’s greatest lessons are not found behind a desk, but are out there in the tales of the world.

After all, exposure is key for an open mind. I am a firm believer of expanding knowledge through life experiences whether that’s getting in touch with the local culture or flirting with your limits. As a curious explorer with an interest in connecting with people, I naturally locate interesting stories that travel publications and its readers need.

 
 

Being the Cyprus writer for Culture Trip has allowed me to view my island in a new light and seek experiences with the same adrenaline as when travelling abroad. Thanks to this dream collaboration, I’m understanding more about local culture and tradition as I pass on the same messages to my readers.

A passion for culture and a respect for local life always existed, even during my work with the Cyprus Weekly writing arts articles and now, at the Cyprus Mail, covering the island’s cultural scene.
